Join us in supporting our neighbors!
Throughout the past 13 years, we have been partnering with homeowners in Germantown and Mt. Airy Neighborhoods to provide safer, warmer, and drier homes for our vulnerable neighbors. This ministry has provided single-family households, the elderly, and the disabled with freshly painted walls, new kitchens, bathrooms, wall repair, porch roofs, and much more!
This summer we are have three homes! Throughout the months of June-August groups of youth will make repairs and renovations to spaces in their homes in order to make it safe, dry, and warm for our homeowners!
Who are our Homeowners?
We would like to introduce you to our three current homeowners!
Each homeowner has their own story as to how they came to be a part of the TPP Homeowner Family and we are so excited to see their homes become safe, dry, and warm!
Ms. Carter
We’ve been working in Ms. Carter’s home since last Spring. She’s become a group favorite as she invites them inside and has a fridge stocked with drinks as a thank you for the hard work and service in her home. Over the past year, we’ve already completed her back porch steps, added new flooring and painted on the first floor, and added a new front porch roof and railing, along with a retaining wall and flower bed in the front of her house. We’ve also done mold remediation in the basement, along with repainting and framing. This summer we plan to finish up the work we’ll do in her house by painting all 3 upstairs bedrooms, as well as putting down new floors in her upstairs hallway.
Ms. Williams
Ms. Williams is a returning homeowner. Multiple years ago, TPP installed and repaired her second-floor bathroom, as well as a couple other projects within her home. We have returned to help make her home more comfortable with small repairs, gardening, landscaping and painting.
Mr. Kelly
Mr. Kelly’s house is a more long-term, ongoing project as we work to repair his home one room at a time. We have completely gutted the back half of his home (kitchen, dining room, and second floor bedroom), removed an addition falling off the back of the house, installed a new subfloor and floor joists in the kitchen and dining room, begun framing on the first floor, and repaired/installed a working bathroom. Our goal by the end of summer is to have a functional kitchen in his home.
It is through donors like you that we are able to continue the ministry and work of home repair in these neighborhoods. Would you consider donating to this ministry so that we are able to continue supporting our neighbors?
