What are Blitz Weekends?
During the fall and spring seasons, The Philadelphia Project hosts “Blitz” retreat weekends. We challenge youth to serve wholeheartedly in our community and to think critically about how God’s Word speaks to social and spiritual issues. Our prayer is that God uses these experiences to make an eternal impact on youth and those they serve as well as a visible impact, offering hope and restoration to our community. During a blitz, participants have the opportunity to serve in our church, home repair, and mercy tracks.

What does the weekend look like?
Join us on Friday Night for Club, a time to come together for intentional worship and teaching! Serve on Saturday with your group alongside church partners, mercy partners, and our homeowners as we seek to serve the community around us, closing out the day with Club. Sunday morning, you will have time to reflect with each other on the weekend followed by attending a Sunday Worship Service with one of our church partners.
Where do we eat, shower, and sleep?
All meals are provided from Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast.
Groups will stay at our year-round housing location, New Covenant Church Campus. Participants will sleep in dorm-style rooms on bunk beds and will need to bring their own bedding (pillow, sheets, sleeping bag, and/or blanket).
Groups will eat and shower at our housing site.
How do we get there?
Groups are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from Philadelphia. Groups are also responsible for transportation for members of their team, plus an extra seat per ministry site team for Philadelphia Project staff.
